Welcome to NHS of Richland County's NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center web page!
NHS of Richland County was pleased to open its HomeOwnership Center May 2, 2003 as part of the celebration of its 20 years of service to the community.
This HomeOwnership Center will help unlock home ownership
opportunities for Richland County’s low and moderate income buyers and
provide valuable rehabilitation assistance to current homeowners.
NHS’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center, located in the basement of the Park Hotel Senior Citizen Apartments at 213 S. Central Ave, in downtown Richland Center, WI, provides access under one roof to a wide range of services and training that will help customers find, purchase, rehabilitate, insure, and maintain their homes. Richland County’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center is one of seventy home-ownership centers being established through a nationwide pilot project of the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation and the national NeighborWorks® network. The NHS Home Ownership Center (HOC) is a partnership that includes local government, area lenders, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, and Insurance Company contributors.
HomeOwnership Center services include:

þ Individualized pre-purchase counseling
þ Home inspection requirements;
þ Affordable first-mortgage resources;
þ NHS Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance loans;
þ Information about how to find a realtor and how to buy homeowners’ insurance;
þ Rehab assistance with home purchase;
þ Foreclosure Prevention
þ Post-purchase counseling
