Richland County has applied for and received Community Development Block Grant - Emergency Assistance Program to assist homeowners that had damage to their home as a result of the flooding and high winds from the storms that started on August 18, 2007 and sustained August 31, 2007. These are grant funds that do not require a asset test or credit report verification. No mortgage will be filed. To receive an application to be eligible for these grant funds call 608-647-4949 x 302 or x 303 or e-mail cheryl@nhsrcwi.org. The application deadline is March 31, 2008. This grant is to be used to assist the residents of Richland County below 80% County Median Income to make repairs to their home that are not covered by insurance or FEMA. Grants are for replacement value of damaged to the primary residence. Assistance is based on a first come first serve basis. Reimbursement will be done for eligible items based on paid receipts. Everyone is encouraged to apply. Persons with personal loss will be referred to the Long Term Recovery Committee upon the signing of a release. Maximum Income Limits:
There is a limit to 1-time repair per item with CDBG-EAP funds. Example: if your roof is repaired with CDBG-EAP funds, these EAP funds can not be used in the future to fix the roof again. When you apply, please bring:
